The road surface for this loop is largely gravel.

The loop gives visitors and great understanding of the rich red soils of the South Burnett, while at the same time giving multiple viewing opportunities at which to appreciate the marvellous rolling landscape of the South Burnet.

There is also a unique view of the Wooroolin Wetlands on the return journey.
