Just cross the main road and keep going out of town past the skate park, this section of the Rail Trail is gravel, so don’t look for a bitumen surface anymore.

The trail roughly follows the old highway and there are two creek crossings that are generally well maintained.

If there has been significant rain there is a signposted detour that gets you around any flowing water.

The turn off to the Moffatdale Winery Route is well signposted approximately 6.7kms out of Murgon.

This is a wonderful ride through quiet bitumen backroads out to the winery district at Moffatdale. There are four wonderful wineries to visit and a number of accommodation options.
